Hail Damage Roof Repair in Utah County & Davis County

Hail hit your neighborhood? Find out if your roof took damage, for free.

Hail bruises shingles and knocks granules loose in ways you usually can't see from the yard. We get on the roof, photograph every hit, and tell you straight whether you need nothing, a repair, or a claim. On September 18, 2026, the National Weather Service logged hail from Pleasant Grove and Spanish Fork in Utah County (0.88 in and 0.5 in) to Holladay, Taylorsville and Midvale in Salt Lake County, with quarter-size (1 in) hail around Taylorsville and Midvale. The largest hail that day, up to 2 in, was reported in Davis County. Damage that looks minor in October can turn into leaks after a winter of snow, ice and freeze-thaw.

Frequently asked

How do I know if hail damaged my roof?

Dented gutters, vents or cars and granules at the downspouts are good clues, but bruised shingles usually can't be seen from the ground. A close roof inspection is the only sure way.

What size hail damages a roof?

Quarter-size (1 in) hail and larger commonly damages asphalt shingles. Smaller hail can still damage older or worn roofs, so it's worth a look if your roof has some age on it.

Is the hail inspection free?

Yes. You get photos and clear next steps, and a written estimate before any paid work.

Can hail damage cause leaks later?

Yes. Bruised or cracked shingles may not leak right away, but snow, ice and freeze-thaw can turn them into leaks over the winter.

Will insurance pay for hail damage?

Often, if the damage is from a covered storm and exceeds your deductible, but every policy is different. Ask your carrier about coverage and deadlines. We can document what we find.
